Every spring these amazing birds arrive back from their winter visit to Africa, to nest and raise their young. Their first priority is to find a nest site and build their homes. Unfortunately, these sites are becoming harder and harder for them to find as they prefer buildings such as old farm barns with easy access, but sadly many of this style of building are now being demolished, repaired or converted for living accommodation. Fortunately, Swallows will also nest in sites such as porches or outbuildings which allow this easy access they need, and our cup nests are perfect for siting in these areas.

These nests should be sited where there is easy access via an open door or window, with a minimum of 1 meter suggested between each nest cup and at least 6cm free space above the nest.
